Learn about your true identity...

"I can’t change your clothes into a beautiful gown or give you a tiara, and that pumpkin isn’t going to transform into your coach – but in this book, I can light a fire in you, so you can take that first leap and (finally) see yourself as a heroine worthy of this journey." - Susanna Liller

As I've taught about the heroine's journey for 18 years, I've met many women and heard many stories. In 2012, I reached the point where I had to get down to what I was learning and share it. I had to expand my reach to enlighten more women about this amazing journey path, its milestones, and how to use it to navigate life. Five years of writing produced You Are a Heroine: A Retelling of the Hero’s Journey, which was published in December 2019.

The Heroine’s Journey is your path to the life you are meant to live. This is why model for living is featured in stories, books, films from the earliest times to today. It’s message is as pertinent today as it was to the listeners of Homer telling about Odysseus’ journey. It’s connected to every great hero and heroine in history – and to every real-life heroine and hero today.

No matter where you are in life… this book will help you take the steps you need to create the extraordinary life you hoped was possible. It is. The book lays out the path for you to follow. It will reveal new insights to you: who you are (identity); how to clarify what you want and bring it to you (direction); and how you have the strength and wisdom to create the life you’ve always wanted (power).

Whether you feel like:

  • all your friends seem to be doing way better than you,
  • you have a dead-end job,
  • you have a marriage that’s not what it used to be,
  • you’re buying into the message that you’re not good enough, not smart enough, not young enough… just not enough of whatever it takes to follow your dreams…

This book will help you take the steps you need to create the extraordinary life you hoped was possible. It’s simple, structured, and lays out the path for you to follow. In the end, it will reveal new insights, clarify what you want, and show you how to find and keep what you want.

Now, it’s time to pay attention. Do you hear that whisper in your ear to leave your comfort zone? Will you answer your call to adventure? Take my hand. I’m the guide for your journey!

The author’s straightforward, conversational writing is a pleasure, but it’s her ability to help women interpret their circumstances in a more adventurous, intuitive way that makes this book unique. While male heroes have been traditionally defined by their physical battles, “Heroineism,” she writes, “is about having the courage to expand from within.” The Heroine’s Journey gives us a fresh way of seeing just how far we can go.
